We Are Woody’s
Toronto’s Hottest Gay Bar since 1989
Woody’s is located in the heart of Church-Wellesley Gay Village. Since opening in 1989, Woody’s and its brother bar Sailor (located next door) have become Toronto’s busiest and hottest gay men’s bars. A large and cavernous complex with five bars, Woody’s features nightly D.J.’s, men’s contests Thursday through Saturday (Best Chest, Best Ass, Best Legs), a pool table and 21 video monitors showing some of the sexiest images around. Woody’s enjoys added recognition for being featured in the popular television series “Queer as Folk”.

What people are saying about Us
My first gay bar experience in Toronto, and I took my (girl) friend with me. Everybody was fine with her being there (I’m sensitive to that) and we both had a good time. We went on a Monday night, and the TV monitors were all showing music videos, and the DJ did a pretty awesome job of keeping everybody entertained. Sexy, happy bartenders — which ALWAYS add to the experience — and strong drinks and lots and lots of room. Also a covered patio for the tobacco enthusiasts.Doug S,
An iconic venue on Church St. in Toronto, Canada. Their icon is a Rhino and examples of it are throughout. Attached bar is Sailor which has a nautical theme. The place was busy when we got there with a wide demographic. They are known for its’ drag shows and events, after work crowd and the place to start your evening. Some shows are worth sticking around for the rest of the night. The place is popular for tourists and it’s where they filmed Queer as Folk.Michael F,
Who doesn’t go to Woody’s when you are on Church Street? This place is usually a must when you are in the ‘hood. There is a stage where there are shows, contests etc. so if you are into that, stay closer to the lowere bar to get a spot up at front. The place is rather big, so I recommend not staying in the same spot for long, or you might miss something ‘hot’ around the corner.Nat P,
